Founded by Jason Purcell and Matthew Stepanic, Glass Bookshop is a new space in Edmonton, Alberta, that focuses on Canadian writing with special attention paid to queer and racialized writers, as well as the independent publishers who help to produce their work.

In order to protect the health and well-being of our community, we have closed the doors to our pop-up space until it’s safe to gather again. It’s important that we think and act collectively now; stay home as much as you can, limit contact, and take good care of yourself and others.

We are offering FREE delivery to homes in Edmonton, Sherwood Park & St. Albert on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Browse the lists below to discover some of our favourite and popular titles, or use the search bar above to find a specific title.

Pandemic University School of Writing AuthorsSee more
Glass Bookshop is the exclusive store for books by the faculty of Pandemic University 'Pop-up' School of Writing. Whether that’s a nonfiction book proposal, TV comedy pilot, or a collection of disaster poetry documenting life in quarantine, PanU's series of online webinars are a great place to learn your craft. And you’ll be helping financially support writers who’ve lost work due to COVID-19. To get us through the COVID-19 pandemic safely, we encourage you to stay home, write a lot, and read more.
